Our Speakers

Amy Downs (Keynote Speaker):

Amy Downs began her career as a teller 33 years ago working for the Credit Union located in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.  In 1995, she was one of the last survivors to be pulled from the rubble following the Oklahoma City bombing which killed 168 people including 18 of her 33 co-workers at the credit union. Embracing her second chance at life, Amy launched a campaign of self-improvement and empowerment. She went from a 355 lb. couch potato to completing a Full Ironman Triathlon. From a teller who couldn’t pass a math class to the CEO with a master’s degree in business administration. Amy still works for the same credit union which also survived the bombing, now called Allegiance Credit Union, serving as the president and CEO. Amy has just released her new book called Hope is a Verb: My Journey of Impossible Transformation which is available on Amazon.

Dinu Joy:

Dinu Joy is a Sales Account Manager at Sapphire Technologies, bringing over 21 years of experience in the Severe Service Valve Industry. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Management and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University in India. Throughout his career, Mr. Joy has held various sales roles with notable companies such as Masoneilan, Emerson-Fisher, and IMI CCI, both in India and the USA. Mr. Joy has worked across multiple industries including Energy, Oil & Gas, and Power. One of Mr. Joy’s key achievements was actively participating in numerous strategic projects in the USA, where he collaborated closely with EPC and OEMs in Boilers, Gas, and Steam Turbines.

Stuart Saulters:

Prior to joining GPA Midstream, he served as Vice President of Government Relations at the American Public Gas Association (APGA), where he worked on behalf of municipal natural gas utilities. His work at APGA focused on advocating for policies that supported the use of natural gas as a key part of the nation’s energy mix, especially in the context of serving local communities.  Before his time at APGA, Saulters spent several years as a senior policy advisor at the American Petroleum Institute (API), where he engaged with policymakers and stakeholders to shape energy policy at the federal level. He developed a strong understanding of the intersection of policy, regulation, and industry, making him well-equipped to take on the challenges at GPA Midstream.  Earlier in his career, Saulters was a design and facility engineer for Chevron. His work took him from the company’s refinery operations in southern Mississippi to upstream assets in the Appalachian Basin, where he supported Chevron’s efforts in West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. This technical and operational foundation gives Saulters a unique perspective on how federal policies impact energy infrastructure and operations across the value chain.

Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell

Matt Pinnell was elected as the 17th Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma on November 6, 2018. Pinnell is President of the Oklahoma State Senate and serves on multiple constitutional boards and commissions, including serving as Chairman of the Oklahoma Tourism Commission and Route 66 Centennial Commission. He has set his Lt. Governor agenda focused on workforce and economic development issues.

Pinnell is the chief marketer of Oklahoma and spends much of his time promoting Oklahoma. In partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, he launched a talent recruitment campaign targeting the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He also works to retain and attract companies to the state by hosting events throughout the year, including the annual Lt. Governor’s Turkey Hunt, a two-week event that showcases Oklahoma to prospective out-of-state companies and site selection representatives.

As an entrepreneur himself, Pinnell champions small business growth. He advises the Oklahoma Department of Commerce on small business growth, entrepreneurship, and workforce development. In 2022, he launched ‘A Look at Oklahoma CareerTech,’ a video interview series that showcases the education and employment opportunities the state’s CareerTech system provides.

Matt has an advertising degree from Oral Roberts University. He lives in Tulsa with his wife of 22 years and their four children.

Craig Wentworth:

Craig has spent his career as an Engineer, dating back to 1978 when he started at NEO A&M as an Electronics Instructor.  From there he went to Warren Petroleum for 1 year until joining T.H. Russell Company in 1981 as an Electrical Engineer and ending as President of the company in 2003.  Craig went to work for other companies from 2003 until joining ISTI / Select Engineering in 2018 as CEO.  He worked in this role until his retirement in 2021 and has extensive midstream experience as a result of his career path.

Craig holds a BS from Oklahoma State (1978) and is a registered Professional Engineer in Oklahoma and Utah.  He was the President of GPSA in 2004 and served on the GPA Board from 2011 until 2017 while working for XTO Energy / Exxon Mobil.

Scott Soltz:

Scott Soltz holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Syracuse University. Before transitioning into sales, he spent four years designing refrigeration systems for Walmart and Whole Foods grocery stores.
