CLASS DESCRIPTION:  

This training session is focused on plant operation and maintenance personnel. It will be an interactive session with online quizzes, open discussions and sharing of experiences and information. The focus will be on the equipment, performance and operating issues. Topics to be covered:

  • Gas-Sub-Cooled Process Overview – ethane recovery and ethane rejection
  • Propane Refrigeration Systems – critical unit operation for rich gas processing
  • Brazed Aluminum Heat Exchangers – construction / operating issues and risks
  • Expander / Compressors – principle of operation and control
  • Demethanizer / Deethanizer – column performance, critical control parameters, column troubleshooting

INSTRUCTOR: 

Kindra Snow-McGregor of Petroskills

Mrs. Kindra Snow-McGregor is the Technical Director of Oil and Gas Processing with PetroSkills | John M Campbell. She is a registered P.E., with a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Refining from the Colorado School of Mines. She has over 22 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She is currently the technical director of oil and gas processing, and is responsible for the course content and quality of the Petroskills | John M Campbell courses.

In addition, she is an active instructor delivering gas conditioning and processing courses, operator training courses, and presents technical papers and facilitates workshops at industry specific conferences. Prior to working for Petroskills, she has significant experiencing working for major EPC companies as process engineer in many different roles. She has served as the technical lead on several significant projects in the industry for clients such as BP, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Occidental, QatarGas, and XTO.

Mrs. Snow-McGregor has been active in the gas processing / midstream industry for many years, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the GPSA Midstream, as well as serves on the Editorial Review Board for the GPSA Engineering Data Books. She has published ten technical papers at international conferences and is co-inventor on two technology patents in the gas processing industry.
